Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity to join a learning disability charity as a nurse team leader and discover a rewarding role bringing quality of life to individuals, whilst working alongside a highly motivated, supportive team, in a welcoming and friendly home.

You'll support 14 individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities in a registered care home in Cadbury Heath near Bristol. You'll get to build relationships with the individuals you support, play a big part in improving the quality of their lives and see the results of your support. There are no waking nights. This is a part-time role for 22.5 hours per week.

You'll get to build relationships with the individuals you support, play a big part in improving the quality of their lives and see the results of your support. There are no waking nights and full-time and part-time hours are available.

You will be supported with your CPD and Revalidation, your learning needs and clinical practice through training, an internal clinical network and external networks. You can also undertake study for further qualifications and if you're newly qualified there is a preceptorship programme.

The individuals require 24 hour nursing support, and are also supported to access their community. Leading by example, you'll run shifts, manage support workers and support the health needs of the people we support. You'll work closely with other professionals to develop safe systems of working and achieve the best possible outcomes. You'll also ensure that individuals receive health care and treatment consistent with their Health Action Plan and Care Plans.

Shift patterns include approximately one sleep in per week (no waking nights), and a mix of earlies, lates and long days, and we're happy to discuss shift options with you.

You'll have a nursing qualification with current NMC registration (preferably RNLD, RNMH or ENLD) and demonstrable experience of working with people with learning disabilities. You'll also need to have experience of Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities and leadership skills.

Able to foster a positive team-working environment, you can inspire your team. Confident and calm under pressure, you'll also be flexible, open to a challenge and innovative in your approach.

A full driving licence is desirable.

You can personalise your holiday and pensions benefits each year. Additional benefits include childcare vouchers and a cycle to work scheme.
