Job Description

Role: Safeguarding Administrator
Location: Office in Birmingham (Hybrid working available - working in the office 1 to 2 days per week)
Rate of Pay: £11.53
Contract: 3 months with possible extension
Hours: Mon-Fri 37.5 Hours
Start Date: ASAP

Job summary:
To provide a comprehensive administrative service to the designated professionals safeguarding team to provide efficient and effective support for all its activities.

Main Duties:
" Acting as a point of contact for the safeguarding team; dealing with and responding to telephone or other queries effectively; passing on relevant information to appropriate team members sensitively and autonomously
" Liaising as required with external partner agencies and organisations
" Sorting and prioritising incoming mail and email, distributing as appropriate; including the monitoring of the dedicated generic Safeguarding and Children in Care mail boxes
" Handling sensitive and highly confidential material appropriately, ensuring that this information is stored securely, and that client confidentiality is maintained
" Ensuring internal systems and tracking processes are timely, accurate and up to date.
" Organising and planning events as necessary.
" Working together with other administrators to provide an effective network of communication including dealing with visitors to the base and being flexible to cover other administrators` general duties on the base.
" Ordering items using the company`s internal systems and processes

Essential:
- Significant administrative/ secretarial experience including initiating and maintaining office systems
- Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
- Understanding of data protection

Necessary ID:
- In date Passport
- 2x proof of address
- 1x proof of NI
