Job Description

Our client is looking for a SEND Teacher to work in a special school for pupils with ASD, Learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.

The school can accommodate a small number of children, the school is mixed gender.

The aim is to support children and young people to develop a wide range of skills, such as communication, social and independence skills.

Role Responsibilities-
To hold QTS/QTLS Teacher status.
To deliver a range of subjects to include Maths, English, PSHE.
Working across various sites and external outreach.
To deliver recognised qualifications to include Open College Network and Functional Skills.
Empathy and understanding for young people with Mental Health & Complex needs.
Internally moderate young peoples work in readiness for the External Verified visit.
Meet the National Independent Standards for Teachers.

Essential Criteria-

KS2/KS3 Experience
Qualified to Degree level.
Substantial recent experience of teaching in a SEN setting (during past 3 years).
Evidence of successful teaching experience with vulnerable children.
Good interpersonal skills and emotional resilience working with children.
Desirable-
Experience of working/developing a SEN Provision or within a similar environment.
