Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Special Educational Needs Co-ordinate (SEND co) for an "Outstanding" rated school that caters for pupils 6 -19 years who have communication difficulties, typically associated with ASD.


You will be working for a provider of education, care and support for children and young people across the UK. They have a number of schools, colleges and homes across the UK. You will be joining an innovative and creative team.

You will lead, develop and manage a high standard of provision for learners with additional learning needs.The SENDCo plays a major part in our referral process to ensure that all EHCP needs can be addressed across the school. You will need to be someone who is innovative and highly effective in working with SEND pupils, experience of managing a range of EHCP across key stages will be an advantage. You will be committed to ensuring that the quality of interventions has a direct impact on pupil progress. You will be a proactive practitioner and solution focused, this may therefor include delivering training to all staff as needed.

To be considered for this role you will need to have...

SENDCO/Access Arrangement Assessor qualifications preferred, or the desire to acquire these
Managing and coordinating a range of interventions to allow access to learning.
Running pupils centred EHCP reviews.
Effective management of a team including SEND administration to ensure all interventions and EHCP reviews are completed in a timely manner.
Understanding and qualification to support Exam Access arrangements.

This is a full time role (40 hours a week) based in Stoke - On Trent.


The salary is £24,373 - £35,971 depending on experience.
