Job Description
*Senior Caseworker Women's refuge*
*Full time permanent - on field mobile working*
*£23,500 - £25,000*
We are working alongside a fantastic women's refuge organisation who are recruiting for a Senior case worker.
You will be working for a women's equality organisation which exists to eradicate violence against women and girls and to support survivors. They recognise that ending violence and abuse takes a whole society approach to social change, and it needs you to help them achieve this!
This is a full time position where you would need flexibility to work on call hours, weekend and bank holidays.

About the role
- You will develop a specialist area of knowledge related to one or more support area
- You'll act as a triage point for service users
- To hold complex and diverse case loads
- Provide specialist advice and guidance to external agencies
- You'll develop and deliver training for support staff related to areas of specialism
- You will be Responsible for case management reviews
- To ensure safety, support and recovery plans reflect the needs and wishes of the individuals accessing the support
- Identify and assess the risks and needs of service users
- You'll be confident in Prioritising cases
- You will support the empowerment of the client
- To Work alongside multi agency partnerships
- Help maintain confidential and accurate records
About you
- You will have a thorough understanding of domestic violence
- You will have a good knowledge of the civil and criminal justice system for victims of domestic abuse and their children
- Understand child protection issues and how to respond effectively
- You will have experience of working with vulnerable people
- Good IT skills
- You will hold a Safelives IDVA training certificate or a relevant degree or vocational qualification or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience
- Excellent communication skills
- You will be confident in dealing with crisis situations
- You will have a flexible approach to working
- You will be a driver and have access to your own car
