Job Description

On behalf of a well respected and longstanding charitable organisation, I am seeking a SENIOR housing management worker for their Leicester based services.

Working closely within an established team, you will lead, guide and mentor your staff team to support vulnerable people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

This support may include identifying accommodation for a fixed term period, signpost to external agencies to secure support with mental and physical wellbeing, including education and employment, as well as continued mental health support.

You will manage your own caseload and play a key role in maintaining safe and homely settings, communicating with external agencies to secure additional support, completing concise reports and most importantly, fostering an environment that promotes client involvement through activities and meetings.

As senior housing management worker, you will also be responsible for driving and maintaining occupancy, liaising with external agencies to secure additional funding and overseeing other operational elements such as HR responsibilities, health and safety and service maintenance.
I am seeking applications from candidates who
" Have a proven background in housing at management level and have knowledge of the benefits system
" Hold a level 3 or 4 in health and social care or are willing to work towards this
" Has a full UK driving licence, access to their own vehicle and is flexible to travel within Leicester
" Are flexible to work a shift pattern between 8am and 10pm, on a rolling Rota to include weekends
In return, you will receive a generous annual salary circa £22000 D.O.E., 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, access to funded internal and external training, as well as travel expenses and other generous benefits.
