BS Social Care are working with a children and young person's residential home with Learning Disability needs, challenging behaviour and nonverbal needs.
About the job; this role is looking for a full time and permanent Senior Support Worker to work closely with the service users, the team and the Home Manager to ensure the service users are receiving the best possible care to allow the children and young people to have the best possible start in life and to receive all of the care they personally need by delivering high standards of care, protection and support to children and adults with Learning Disabilities and related complex needs by facilitating their physical, psychological, emotional and recreational development.
About the ideal candidate; it is essential that you have a driving licence with access with access to your own car, we are also looking for candidates with Learning Disability experience, no verbal experience and residential experience.
o Have experience in children residential setting
o Good written/verbal communication skills
o Training/certification in:
o First Aid, Food Hygiene, Fire Safety; Child Protection, behaviour
o At least 1 years' experience of working with Children/Young people in a similar setting, and with other Care Professionals and partner agencies.
o Already Have a Level 3 or the
o Commitment to undertaking QCF
o Level 3 - "Diploma in Children &
o Young Peoples Workforce
