Are you an experienced Social Worker and looking for your next challenge?
I am currently working with a well established company who are looking for a responsible and professional individual to join their team. You will supervise a team of social work assistants and provide them with advise on their case loads.
You will help drive performance within the team, providing support, supervision, appraisal, case reviews and observations.
" Degree in social work or equivalent social work qualification and current professional registration.
" Evidence of learning, through continuing professional development and its application to practice/ and or mentoring.
" Experience of leading / managing a team in a social care setting
" Experience of community based social care services
" Experience of service delivery with older people and / or disability services.
" Experience of managing teams and HR processes
" Experience of contributing to the development and updating of policies in line with legislative changes and good practice.
" Good working knowledge of welfare benefits system
" Knowledge of relevant legislation and good practice, particularly in relation to older people, mental health and disability
" Ability to manage & effectively prioritise caseloads, work with integrity and professionalism and work under pressure
" Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
This position is based in Pontefract and you will work predominantly Monday to Friday 9-5. However there will be flexibility with this if needed. You will have regular travel and mileage will be paid at 45p per mile.
