Job Description

A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Service Administrator looking to fill part time hours on a flexible rota within a well-known organisation who work to improve the lives of children. BS Social Care is currently recruiting for a Service Administrator to work in a small respite service within a large children's organisation, helping with the general running of the office, admin and finance duties in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

About the employer; they are the oldest and largest children's charity in the UK that support children and young people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, challenging behaviour, sexual abuse and exploitation and mental health. They support, protect and become a voice for children, young people and families. You would be working within the office of a 5 bedded respite service for children and young people with varied needs.

About the job; your role will need you to be able to work flexibly and on your own initiative as you will be the lead on finance, monitoring the service's admin needs, completing reports and audits and ensuring the service is compliant within health and safety, fire safety, safe guarding, GDPR and more. The role will include low level HR duties but will be supported by their large head office team. Although key workers and office staff file their reports, care plans and paperwork your role will include ensuring this is being carried out correctly to the standards of the governing bodies of CQC and Ofsted. Provide and/or supervise the provision of efficient office systems, e.g. opening and distributing post, message taking, room booking and staff movement systems. Undertake tasks delegated from the appropriate manager to ensure the premises and vehicles used by the service are secure and that systems to maintain security and safety are operating effectively. (This may involve key holder responsibilities.

About the ideal candidate; we are looking for candidates that are flexible with a professional and easy-going attitude who can work as part of a team but happy to lone work when needed. You will need to have experience within a similar role, with great understanding and evidence of finance experience to be able to successfully be the finance lead. Knowledge of compliance, GDPR and Microsoft Office is essential along ideally knowledge of CQC and Ofsted regulations. Due to the nature of the service, we need candidates that have an understanding of children and young people with care needs. You will not be working directly with the service users, however the office is located within the service, so there may be times during school holidays that you will interact with the children and young people.

For this role, you will be offered a salary of £11,440 - £12,584 working between 20-22 hours a week. The hours and days will be flexible, however only between the days of Monday to Friday and will be discussed upon interview. You will be provided with training upon starting and throughout the role. Your induction will include training on the company's intranet and Microsoft, 1-1 training with a member of the finance team within head office who will also train you on use of systems, with the induction consisting of E-Learning on health and safety, safeguarding and more.
