Job Description

This role is an ongoing temporary role with the potential of a permanent job.

We are working with this company to secure them the very best candidate

Oversee the development and management of community based provision and meeting the requirements of the city council contract specification.

Manage safeguarding advice and information and ensure that duties under operational lead for safeguarding are strictly managed across the organisation.

Oversee the development and management of specialist projects including Peer Support Service and Women`s Hub.

Recognise, respect and address the needs of service users who face particular barriers when seeking help to access the service, including those from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, LGBT communities, disabled people, women with complex needs and other hard to reach groups.


Evidence of an awareness of the dynamics and impact of domestic violence and how best to support survivors.
Knowledge of current legislation affecting
the rights of service users, specifically safeguarding children and families, domestic violence and mental health
Evidence of the ability to demonstrate leadership and sound judgement in crisis situations including where lives need to be protected.
Demonstrate a high level of written and oral communication IT literate, good numeracy skills and knowledge of setting and managing budgets
Proven ability in relating to a multi-cultural client group and understanding the issues and effects of domestic violence and/or homelessness among service users
Proven ability in managing a team


A relevant professional qualification in either Social Work / Children Studies / Safe Lives / Project Management is essential.
2 years management experience
Experience of sensitively assessing and reporting to the needs and risks of women and children experiencing domestic violence and/or homelessness.
Experience of current legislation affecting the rights of service users, specifically safeguarding children and families, domestic violence and mental health.
Proven experience of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
Experience of coaching and developing individuals, and manage own development
Experience of recognising and rewarding good performance, and tackles poor performance





Between £30,000 - £35,000 (£15.38 per hour - £179.94 per hour) depending upon experience
