We are looking for an experienced Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) lead to open a new service based in Trafford, Manchester.
You will be working for a fantastic charity that supports over a 1000 people with learning disabilities across the UK. The charity has over 25 years experience and is well known and regarded within our sector. They are big advocates of ensuring people have choices and they are living the life they wish.
The role is to lead, manage and develop an effective and efficient service to support children and young people who have have learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. You will ensure the highest quality and standard of providing PBS is provided to the children, young people and their families. You will be working with them to support them to continue to live at home.
You will be undertaking reviews of reports and social care assessments including SEN and to complete functional assessments of behaviour and risk assessments. You will be able to formulate detailed PBS plans.
You will design and deliver PBS workshops and coaching for multi agency professionals and parents.
You will also manage and supervise a team of specialist Key Workers which will include 121s, performance reviews, supervisions and coaching.
For this role you will need to have experience in Positive Behaviour Support and be qualified with Positive behaviour support practitioner accreditation. It would be ideal if you have had some education or qualifications relating to Psychology. You will have knowledge of PBS theory and practice. You will need to have had experience in completing high quality assessments and actively delivering PBS strategies and interventions. The most important aspect to this role is the PBS knowledge and experience but you will be managing a team so would be amazing if you have had people management experience. However there will be plenty of support, coaching and training for you so if you are new to people management then that isn't a problem!
This is a full time role - Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm - £45,386.
