Here at BS Social Care we have a very exciting opportunity for an Interim Service Manager! Our client, a highly reputable care provider and sought after employer in the UK, is looking for an experienced and qualified Service Manager to join their team in Reading on a Fixed Term Contract. The role is fixed term for six months, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.

The service provides supported living accommodation and independent studio apartments to adults who are on the autism spectrum or show behaviours that are consistent with a diagnosis of autism. The service also supports people with complex needs; including epilepsy, and individuals who might challenge alternative services.

As an Interim Service Manager, you will:

Take responsibility for the effective management of all aspects of the service in the registered managers absence.
Effectively contribute to the service Action Plan as delegated by the Regional Manager / Regional Project Manager.
Lead, manage and direct a staff team in the attainment of aims and objectives linked to the organisations Strategic Plan and the needs of the individual.
Support the service to meet full compliance in line with the organisational policies and procedures, requirement of the regulatory body and relevant legislation.
Market the service to all potential commissioners and referrers with the key aim of creating new business opportunities.
Manage organic and planned change within the service, to meet the demands of new business.

About you:

To apply for this role, you must have a QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care. You must also have experience of working with adults with Learning Disabilities in a similar setting. Being a driver with access to a vehicle is highly desirable for this role.
