Job Description

As a Specialist Case Manager for Life Skills you will lead on developing, embedding and delivering a recovery focused and strengths-based approach for women affected by domestic abuse who may be self-managing complex support needs but may also require additional support with Life Skills.

Additional support needs may be related to substance use, mental health, physical Health and offending behaviour. You will design and implement this support for service users and their children who are moving on from emergency accommodation and in need of additional support before moving into their own homes. This will involve ensuring that the service proactively works to support clients to manage risks and implement safely plans and improve financial, physical and emotional well being.

The post holder will lead on coordinating and implementing Life Skills support plans for women in supported accommodation. You will line manage a staff team as well as being responsible for the efficient running of supported accommodation refuge.

You will organise and deliver sessions to develop skills such as education, networking, economic well being, parenting, health, nutrition, training, as well as enterprise programmes. You will work in partnership with other teams within and outside of the organisation to implement individual life skills care programmes.

You will also actively develop links and positive working relationships with agencies across the city.



You will support women to make informed choices for themselves and their children and ensure they are working towards independent living throughout their stay in supported accommodation. You will work with families to develop a safe move on plans from refuge by utilising appropriate community support.

£22440 - £24500 depending upon experience
