Service Manager required to join a leading provider of care and support for adults with learning disabilities, dual diagnosis or mental health needs within a stunning area of Stafford. This could be on a 6 month FTC contract leading to a permanent role or potentially, on a straight permanent basis.

This service is easily accessible from Stafford, Cannock, Telford and the Wolverhampton areas and would suit a skilled manager who is looking to join an organisation who really does offer genuine career progression opportunities.

You will work for a forward thinking, person centred employer who has both their staff needs and the individual care requirements of the people they support at the forefront of their minds. Well respected by a number of external agencies, you will have the opportunity to develop on both a personal and professional level.

This exciting role will require you to oversee the day to day running of a small residential service for adults with a learning disability diagnosis and some behaviours which may challenge.

Your job role will be varied and will require you to manage a multi-disciplinary staff team, take a key role in staff recruitment and training and liaise effectively with external agencies. You will lead by example and motivate your staff to deliver the highest quality of care possible.

Your purpose is to ensure the people in your care live as independently as possible and have full and rewarding lives. You will actively empower the individuals you support to take control and have belief in their own potential.

To apply for this vacancy, you will be able to demonstrate a proven background within the learning disabilities sector. Most importantly, you will have held employment in a supervisory/management capacity and be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the care needs of people with an autism or ASD diagnosis.

A managerial qualification such as the RMA or QCF level 5 or equivalent is essential, as is flexibility to work the "on call" rota.

Due to location of this service, you must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
