** STAR Support Worker **
** Northampton, Northamptonshire **
** £19,000 **
** 40hrs per week including weekends; 7am-3pm/ 11am-7pm/ 2pm-10pm Sleep in shifts available **

BS Social Care are looking for an experienced STAR Support Worker (Senior) to work within a supported living setting with adults with mental health issues to work across two sites. This role is within the Northampton, Northamptonshire area.

About the employer; this organisation supports individuals with complex mental health needs, in their own flats in the community. Have long terms mental health issues, often alongside associated problems with drugs and / or alcohol and possible connection with the criminal justice system.

About the job; In this role, it will be your role to develop compassionate and supportive relationships, so you can really come to know who people are through the engagements you share. As you do so, you will allow them the opportunity to have their needs and hopes to be not only be heard, but also understood. This understanding will then provide you with the tools to create the unique packages of support and encouragement that make the persons future feel all the more possible. You will work collaboratively with the people you keywork to create effective ways to understand their support needs and requirements and develop individualised support plans. You will complete all appropriate risk assessments and risk management plans to communicate appropriately the daily tasks required and distribute tasks as required and be pro-active in managing difficult or declining relations by working openly and creatively to find resolutions.

The ideal candidate; to be considered for the role, you will ideally hold a Health and Social Care NVQ or equivalent and have experience within a Support Worker/ Senior Support Worker role. You will hold experience working with mental health needs and have a high knowledge of the sector. Ideally you will be a driver and have a DBS on the update service. We are looking for candidates with enthusiasm, who are hard working and who can help with rehabilitation.

In return, this organisation will offer you a full time and permanent role paying £19,000. You will work 40hrs per week including weekends on a rota basis; 7am-3pm/ 11am-7pm/ 2pm-10pm with sleep in shifts available.
