Support workers required for a Supported living service!

Position: Support Worker
Location: West London
Hours: Full & part-time available, 20 to 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £9.00

This service has six service users with learning disabilities who need support with their day to day life. You will be required to encourage and support these service users to live an independent life.

Our client seeks to help people improve their quality of life by providing support to enable them to maximise their skills and gain independence. Staff provide support and care which are tailored to meet individual needs, through person-centred care planning.

You must have;
o Good communication both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with people with learning disabilities using a variety of methods to meet the needs of the individual.
o To have a good level of numeracy to assist the service user to manage their finances.
o To understand and adhere to safeguarding principles.
o To be honest, reliable, punctual, flexible and able to work shifts that includes weekends and public holidays
o To participate in staff meetings, training and other learning development opportunities

You will need to be confident in working with adults and have a real desire to support the work of the permanent members of staff.

The ideal candidate must have the following-

**DBS check if not on the update service
**Minimum of two years reference
