Job Description

Brook Street Social Care are currently working with an organisation which specialises in providing accommodation and support to young people aged 16-24. The services provides residents with day to day support, with the aim of progressing clients to independent settings.

Our client currently accommodates around 60 young people, all of which are supported within 4-6 bedded properties. The services are located across South East London, situated in Greenwich, Bexley, Lewisham, Southwark, Bromley and Croydon. We are looking for candidates who live local to the above boroughs or can commute.

We are looking to engage with candidates who can work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, on a rota basis. You need to be able to cover early, late and nights accordingly.

The needs of the residents vary, from mental health, learning disabilities, anti social behaviours and more. They are seeking candidates who have experience supporting residents with the transition to independent living.

We are seeking candidates who have the following skills:
- Working with young people who can present challenging behaviours
- Understanding the needs of young people who have underlined issues around mental health, learning disabilities, and other factors that require additional support
- Producing accurate records of observations and assessments of young people, and being able to liaise with multiple agencies where necessary

This role is challenging, but also massively rewarding. We want to hear from candidates who understand how to promote independence, manage challenging and hard to reach clients with the aim of generating positive outcomes.

- NVQ Level 3 (Children and young people workforce)
- Minimum of 1 years experience working with young people within a registered ofsted environment or semi independent setting
- Intermediate report writing skills - ability to produce reports and observations

This role is paying up to £22,360 per annum for the right candidate.
