Job Description

Mental Health Support Worker

We are looking for support workers in Surrey to support clients who have mild or complex mental health needs. If you have experience supporting adults with diagnosed mental health needs we want to hear from you today!


We are currently working with a range of organizations that specialise in supporting adults who have varied needs around mental health. Our clients support adults within supported living services, hostels and homelessness centres, care homes, semi secure units and within the community. Our clients support adults who require different levels of support, and as such, requires candidates who have an understanding of the impact and needs around adults living with mental health problems.

The role will primarily involve you supporting clients with their day to day living needs by following individualised and person centred support plans. You will be expected to prompt clients with things such as personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning and sustaining healthy and engaging activities. You will be working as part of a support team, sharing relevant information where appropriate. Managing challenging and complex situations is expected, with a specific focus on de-escalation and non-confrontational approaches to managing challenging behaviour.
We would be interested in hearing from candidates who have an understanding of substance abuse and addictions, as well as candidates who have worked within probation settings.

The ideal candidate will be DOUBLE JABBED flexible, adaptive and agile. They will be able to commit to a minimum of 37.5 hours of work per week on an ongoing basis.

-Double jabbed
- Minimum of 6 months experience supporting vulnerable adults (ESSENTIAL)
- Understanding of the mental capacity act 2005
- Understanding of Mental Health act 2015
- Understanding of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguard
- Commitment of at least 30 hours per week

£11.00- £12 Per hour
