The role of the Housing Support Worker is to work under the leadership of the Supported Housing Manager supporting vulnerable, homeless individuals. You will carrying out risk assessments, carry out new client welcomes, induct clients into the service which includes registering with GPs. You will need to ensure they have a good understanding of their rights and responsibilities during their stay, support clients to articulate and achieve their goals and targets as defined and agreed within their support plans. These support plans may be agreed with other professionals, key workers and probation officers.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience within the housing support sector and can promote independent living for service users. You will be reliable, consistent and passionate about making a difference.
You must have a minimum of 1 years paid work experience within the social care sector, or 6 months within the past 12 months.
