Our client has new and exciting opportunities for support workers; they are on a mission to provide help and support for people who find they are struggling to live independently in the community.
You will be supporting, advising and helping adults with learning disabilities. Your main aim is to help these people to build and develop independent living skills. In doing so you will be helping with shopping, budgeting, meal planning, completion of forms as well as engaging service users in social and community based activities.
The role will be offered to you on a temporary basis, so your flexibility and availability is crucial. Availability for you to do occasional waking nights will also be required.The successful candidate for the role of Support worker should have:
- Experience as a Care Worker * Experience of working with people with learning disabilities * Ready to start immediately * Has a current Enhanced DBS that is registered to the update service or willing to do one.
