Support Worker
Autism and Learning Disabilities
West Yorkshire

The purpose is to provide the highest standards of support and accommodation as well as supportive environment for nineteen adults with autism, learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.

The role of a support worker is to support individuals to develop skills linked to daily living, supporting with aspects of personal care, supporting individuals to access internal and external activities, learning opportunities and work placements. The role will involve supporting individuals to develop independence and promote choice and inclusion. As a support worker, there is an expectation to complete relevant paperwork and maintain accurate records.

What we are looking for
Experience within any care/support setting is desirable, if not, this is also great! As this fantastic organisation will provide you will an excellent induction and training package to be the best support worker you can be! You must have excellent communication skills, Flexibility to respond to the changing needs of those who you support and a strong "can do" attitude.

A driving license would be a great help for this position as the service users have cars, so you would be expected to drive it when required if you have a license.

A full time position is 42 or 36 hours per week which does include 12 hour shifts so you must be able to commit to a variety of shifts, including earlies, lates and weekends. Part time shifts are that of 12 hours yet at a weekly contract of 24 hours

Salary and Benefits
You will be offered £8.87 per hour along with a fantastic benefits package
