Our client, a reputable care provide in the area, are looking for Support Workers to join their friendly team. Our client supports children and young people age 6-19 years who have highly complex learning difficulties and is one of the few schools in the country that also supports young people with complex health needs and associated difficulties. These may be as a result of conditions such as cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, degenerative conditions or autism requiring a specialist approach.

This service provides a safe learning environment set within 14 acres of beautiful countryside. The support provided enables each young person to engage and progress at their own level within a living and learning environment that is all about enriching individual lives and helping everyone to achieve their full potential as they reach adulthood. This incredible service includes many wonderful and unique facilities such as a hydrotherapy pool and multi-sensory areas. Their ultimate aim is to empower young people to grow in their own unique and inspiring way.

Your Duties:

As a Support Worker, you will assist with the daily care needs of the service users, ensuring that their complex care needs are always met. You will approach your work with enthusiasm and passion and you will bring a smile to the young people`s faces! You will promote dignity and independence with the ultimate goal of empowering the young people to grow in their own unique and inspiring way. Due to the complex needs of the service users, this role will involve personal care although full training will be provided.

Shifts are varied and include day shifts and night shifts and therefore, flexibility is key. Support Workers are expected to work every other weekend.

You must be caring, ambitious, collaborative, trusted and innovative.
You must share our client`s values.
You must be a driver with access to your own vehicle.
Experience is desirable but not essential.
If offered the position you will be subject to a full DBS and reference check.
