Job Description

Children's Residential Support Worker

Northampton - City Centre Locations

Up to £9.50ph + Benefits

Are you passionate about working with children and care? Are you looking to develop your experience?

Would you like to work flexibly, on your terms, perhaps around a full time job? Maybe it's to gain more experience around further study? Then this will be just for you.

We are looking for passionate people that want to make a difference to young people's lives. At the moment, I am working with some fantastic children's homes that need a lot of support, especially over the Christmas months and into the New Year.

Your role will be supporting young people with their day to day needs; this could be anything from taking them to activities, general up keep of their homes and supporting them with any emotional requirements. It is highly important that you encourage and inspire them to take and engage each and every opportunities given to them.

The needs of the young children could be anything from young people with emotional behavioural disorder, autism or profound learning disabilities.

We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking persons to work with young people who display challenging behaviour. Due to this a form of restraint training is essential. Applicants must be reliable and flexible and have a passion for caring for young people.
Hours are available from Monday - Sunday, including days, nights and sleep-ins

Successful candidates will have a minimum of one year's practical experience within the care sector, having a driving license and your own vehicle would be advantageous. They will also have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
