Job Description

Due to internal promotion, I am working in conjunction with a recognised charitable provider, I am recruiting for a PART TIME (up to 25 hours per week) support worker to work within their substance and alcohol misuse recovery service in the heart of Derby.

You will join an organisation who is focused on delivering high quality, client led services that challenge behaviours and successfully work to change lives for those who have or are going through alcohol or substance misuse recovery.

Working within an established team, you will manage your own caseload and be involved in 1 to 1 and group support.

Your duties will be varied and will include:

* Management of your own caseload of people in recovery
* Report writing/care management and planning
* Facilitating groups
* Engaging with and managing challenging behaviour, triggers and risks
* Signposting to external agencies
* Attending multi-disciplinary meetings with external providers
* Providing continued aftercare
* Diary management
* Supervisions
* Identifying and managing the risk of relapse

I am seeking applications from support workers who have personal or professional experience of substance misuse support and recovery.

You will also be a positive and pro-active individual who can effectively manage their own caseload and diary, whilst ensuring the people you support are the key focus.

Although not essential, a level 2 or 3 in health and social care would benefit this role. Excellent communication skills and flexibility to work one late night a week once COVID measures are relaxed is essential.

Your skills, knowledge and experience will be rewarded with a competitive annual salary, a generous annual leave allowance, genuine career progression opportunities and continued training and development.

Interviews are due to take place in the next couple of weeks, so, to avoid disappointment, please apply online today or forward your CV via email for consideration.
