SUPPORT WORKERS

LOCATION - North/south Tyneside/Durham/ Northumberland

Pay Rate Competitive depending on assignment

We are recruiting Support Workers for ad hoc shifts and ongoing assignments with adults with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health Conditions, Brain Injuries, Epilepsy and Challenging Behaviours.

You must have experience working with vulnerable adults in a residential and community setting. You must have at least 6 + months experience working within the last 12-month period.

We require you to have an awareness and training in the following: moving and handling, medication administration, challenging behaviour from mild to extreme behaviours, NAPPI or CPI or MOVA, and to have the ability to assess risks for the individual while in the community. Assessing and safeguarding the individual while completing activities is paramount at all times and following written protocols are a daily requirement.

We are looking for Drivers with business insurance in all the mentioned areas and also non drivers for certain locations.

You will be responsible for supporting people with a range of needs in their own residence and in the community, promoting independence, developing daily living skills, helping with their finances, attending appointments, working with a person-centred approach, some personal care will be necessary with some individuals on a daily basis.

We have various shifts working: days, including sleep over shifts and waking nights, also weekend working is available.
