Job Description

Support Worker
Learning Disabilities, Complex Needs & Elderly
Working on Nights- 9.30pm-7.30am
Huddersfield- HD8
£9.65 rising to £9.90 after probation
(When working 11pm till 7am you receive an extra £1.26 per hour due to working nights)

Objective-
To work cooperatively with all staff within the home to deliver and be responsible for providing quality care and support to adults with learning disabilities in accordance with Trust policies and principles of good practice

Our client supports 21 individuals with a learning disability, complex needs and some physical disabilities, personal care is required for some clients.

We are seeking experienced staff but also interested if you are looking to start a career in social care. You will need to demonstrate a high level of patience and flexibility to meet the demands of the service.

We are looking for dynamic, motivated people to join the team supporting adults with a learning disability and make a real difference .

Responsibilities-
Ensure service users retain individuality and personal dignity by promoting high standards of care and encouraging independence wherever appropriate.
To assist service users who need help with getting up in the morning, dressing, undressing, washing, bathing and the toilet.
To help service users with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence, help in use and care of aids and personal equipment.
Perform domestic tasks including laundry and ironing.
Assist senior staff formulate support plans and risk assessments.
Record accurate and detailed observation records for service users and evaluate their effectiveness with senior staff.
Prepare meals and drinks as required and in accordance with service users' preferences.
Submit reports verbally and in writing as requested by senior support officer and service manager.
Take service users shopping, assist in maintaining good relationships with relatives, volunteers, primary health care staff, social workers, Perform caring tasks to assist service users with personal care,
