Job Description
If you have experience supporting adults with mental health issues and offering crisis intervention, then I have the perfect opportunity for you.
On behalf of a nationally recognised charitable provider, I am seeking crisis recovery workers to join their safe haven and crisis service in Derby.
Employed on a full time basis, with the requirement to work shifts on a rota basis (this could include earlies, lates, sleep ins and waking nights), you will support people who are in a mental health crisis and provide them with the support and tools required to prevent this from escalating.
You will work with people who may be anxious, depressed, manic, self-harming or who have suicidal thoughts, and support them in developing coping strategies to deal with their crisis.
You will work with external agencies including clinical professionals to secure the right support for the people in your care. You will offer tailored, person centred support and implement strategies to identify current and future triggers and risks, whilst offering guidance and leadership relating to independent living skills
I am seeking applications from people who have excellent listening and communication skills, yet remain resilient in the most challenging of situations.
An understanding of mental ill health is essential for the recovery worker role, as is lived and/or professional experience within the care field.
This is a great opportunity for recent graduates who have secured a psychology related qualification and are seeking their first hands on role in the mental health field.
Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be flexible to work a varied shift pattern.
In return, you will receive a salary circa £18525, generous, enhanced annual leave allowance, continued training and development and other exciting benefits.
For an immediate interview, please apply online today or forward your CV via email. Alternatively, please call Lynsey at our Birmingham branch.
