Job Description

BS Social Care are looking for dedicated Support Workers to work in a 15 bed residential service for adults with a variety of mental health needs.

Residents come from a wide range of backgrounds and require a variety of high end mental health support. The service prides itself in its personalised approach to support and works hard with the service users in their journey to recovery and self confidence.

The role will involve supporting service users with their daily routine and helping them to develop independence and personal responsibility. You will also support with daily life skills such as cooking and cleaning.

We are looking for a support worker who can use their initiative and adapt to each service users needs. You will be confident in completing documentation and in communicating with both staff and service users. Prior training in administering medication is also needed for this role. Experience in de-escalation techniques is desired. An enhanced DBS on the update service is required for this role, however we can assist with your application for this.

Shifts at the service are 0730-2030, 2000-2300 + sleep and waking nights.

The pay rate for this role is £8.50 to £9.00, with additional benefits including holiday pay and a pension scheme.
