Job Description

** Support Worker - Waking Nights **
** Kennington, Oxford **
** Permanent and full time **
** £12.50ph/£24,375 **
** 8pm - 8am **
** 37.5hrs per week **
** 2 week rolling rota **
** Adults with high challenging behaviour and Learning Disability needs **

BS Social Care are currently recruiting for a number of experienced Support Worker for an adult`s supported living service within Kennington based in Oxfordshire.

About the role; this role will require supporting a young adult 3:1 with high challenging behaviour and Learning Disability needs. You will support the young adult to achieve their goals and grow life skills with some elements of personal care.

Your typical day would include; hand over, supporting the service user with their morning our evening routine, with activities including within the community. You will complete paper work and keep care plans up to date. This role can be very challenging, however extremely rewarding supporting the service user to have the best quality of life possible.

About the ideal candidate; it is essential that you have experience with challenging behaviour and or within secure units. You will also have experience working with Learning Disabilities and have knowledge of de-escalation methods. You will have a fun and inviting nature which will allow the service user to feel relaxed and safe but also be able to safely control a challenging situation with excellent communication. You need to have good communication skills to allow you to build a professional relationship in being a friend as well as their Carer. Due to the company vehicle, you MUST be a driver with a current UK manual driving licence. You will be able to work nights of 8pm-8am on a two-week rolling rota which will consist of week 1/Monday, Thursday and Friday, week 2/Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

In return; this role is a full-time and permanent role working 37.5 hours per week over 4 weeks including every other weekend, working nights of 8pm-8am. This role is paying £12.50per hour/£24,375 per year.
