Job Description

We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated candidate for Housing Support officer to join a Housing organisation service in Burnley
You will be working for an excellent provider in Specialist housing, supporting vulnerable adults in the community you are Joining the group at a very exciting time of growth and expansion, which could lead to future progression and development opportunities.
Day-to-day, you` provide high quality resettlement and housing management support to a portfolio of customers, who may have complex needs and who can be challenging to work with, within a supported housing project or dispersed tenancy, carry out the needs and risk assessments of customers referred into the service, as directed by the Line Manager, support customers to access services from other statutory and voluntary agencies as appropriate to their needs and act as key worker in co-ordinating services in order to prevent duplication and work with and advise customers accordingly with regard to welfare rights, budgeting, employment, education and training, leisure opportunities and issues of personal care.

The ideal candidate will be great listener, with a flexible approach and a flair for planning and prioritising a busy workload, you love motivating and engaging people in a range of rehabilitative activities. What`s more, you will have a good understanding of mental health issues and how they affect people.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working in the community, supporting the homeless, working with vulnerable adults who have suffered with Drug and alcohol abuse, mental health, support in to housing accommodation all this is desirable But not essential as long as there is a willingness to learn and passionate to work and support others, all training will be provided.


This is a full-time position with a starting salary of salary starting at £21895k - £25532k depending on experience
Mon - Fri 9-5 pm with a flexible working policy
