Job Description

** Deputy Manager **
** St Albans, Hertfordshire **
** Permanent and full time **
** £19,927 - £ 24,565 **
** 37.5 hours including every other weekend & 1-2 sleeps per week **
** E; 7am-3pm / L; 2pm-9.30pm / Sleep in; 2pm-11am (2pm-10:30pm & 7am-11am working) **
** Adults learning difficulties / complex health needs / challenging behaviour / Autism / Epilepsy **

BS Social Care are currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager for an adult`s supported living service within St Albans, Hertfordshire looking for candidates that have the values and passion for helping others.

About the role; this role will include you doing 3 days in the office and 2 days working directly with the service users or the opposite. Office work includes; care plans, incident reports, audits and end of month health and safety audits, rotas done at least 3 months in advanced. Working directly with the service users will include hand over, supporting them to get up and dressed, personal care such as washing, get ready for activities, shopping, going to the bank, health appointments, house work and meals/cooking. The residents go to a day centres or do the above activities and recreational activities.

About the ideal candidate; you will have experience and at least a Level 3 Health & Social Care NVQ or working towards. It is essential that you are empathetic and compassionate towards the residents of the home and interested in the role for the right reasons. We need candidates that have the right values and understanding of the needs of the service users you`re working with by building a professional relationship and being a friend as well as their carer. Ideally you will hold a Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification, but you will be willing to work towards this qualification if not. The home is a friendly home, either fast paced or relaxed but always nice to be within. It will be ideal to be a driver with transportation. This organisation looks to upskill and progress their team and offer the opportunity to progress.

In return; this is a full time and permanent role working 35.7 hours per week working shifts of E; 7am-3pm / L; 2pm-9.30pm / 1-2 sleep ins per week; 2pm-11am (2pm-10:30pm & 7am-11am working) paying £19,927 - £ 24,565 dependant on experience and qualifications. You will also be offered a whole host of benefits which will be discussed on interview. The benefits include; £100 added to your salary for having a qualification, will have a mentor and could possibly become a mentor, length of service salary increase, 6-week induction, care certificate, face to face and E-learning; champion training, equality, hygiene ect, training around LD, MH, Medication and safe guarding, you will be able to gain the QCF.
