Job Description
BS Social Care are currently working with a nationally recognised organisation to recruit a team leader who has experience supporting those with learning disabilities.
NVQ level 3 in health and social care with children and young people is must
You will be working for a Children's home that aims to support young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Working in a shift as part of the team, you'll provide direct care and support to the people we support and model best practice. You'll lead and inspire your team to support individuals to maintain their independence and to achieve their aspirations.
You'll assist the locality manager in the supervision, coaching and mentoring of the team. Co-ordinate the daily provision of support and activities for people we support to ensure the delivery of a high quality, responsive and efficient service.
By tailoring your management style, you'll support to your team based on their individual needs, goals and levels of experience. You'll maintain employee engagement and performance through effective leadership, communication, supervision, appraisal and mentoring of all employees.
You'll have demonstrable experience working with people with a learning disability and ideally some experience managing and developing skills within a team.
If you've a relevant social care and management qualification, that's even better.
You'll have a passion for your work and be committed to ensuring that your team has the tools and guidance it needs to deliver first-class consistent support and care. Confident in managing budgets and resources, you'll have an up-to-date knowledge of legislation and quality standards
The position will be paying up to £29,000 to £30,000 for the right candidate
All team leaders work flexible shifts to provide a 24/7 service to the people we support.
The recruitment process will involve an application form and an interview over Microsoft Teams
