Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to work in a therapeutic community, supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders.

The Organisation

The client is an independent provider of Supported Living services to adults with Learning Difficulties and associated needs. They aim to provide an environment where every individual is empowered to fulfil their aspirations through experiencing a healthy home, social, cultural and spiritual life, within a shared community. There is an emphasis on developing skills, creativity and working life through accessing a wide range of onsite and offsite workshops and activities.

The Role

You will be part of a fantastic team, supporting adults who have learning difficulties. You will support residents to ensure all their daily needs are met, ranging from teaching them life skills within the home environment, to supporting them to engage in the range of therapeutic activities available, from woodwork and pottery, through to gardening or textiles.
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of one of the Supported Living houses. You will carry out staff supervisions and appraisals, and ensure the smooth day to day running of the home, supporting the Care Manager by ensuring that all care plans and risk assessments are up to date and reviewed regularly.
You will enjoy working in a warm, friendly environment, with a supportive senior staff team that promotes a non-punitive culture, where residents and staff can learn from mistakes.

About You

You will be an experienced support worker, with a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, and previous experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader.
You will need to be able to work flexibly as the role will include working to a rolling shift rota, which will include some evening and weekend work. You will ideally be a driver with a manual licence.
