Job Description

Team Leader- Children and Young People
Bradford, Keighley
3 bed placement - lovely old farm cottage - children aged 11 and above with Mental Health and Trauma needs,
Shifts 8am-11pm - 2/3 shifts a week with sleep ins.
Salary £25,627 -£30,426 , £11.05 p/h then after 6 month probation will increase to £11.60.
£74.30 sleep rate
QCF L3 / L4 Residential Childcare or NVQ3 Children & Young People (or Equivalent) + Full UK Driving License- Essential

Responsibilities-
In this role you will be working shifts, assisting the young people in all aspects of their everyday life. No two days will be the same; the role is an exciting challenge.
Arranging and supporting children to participate in exciting activities and supporting their interests and hobbies.
Preparing meals, undertaking shopping trips.
Attending important meetings with social services or health services.
Helping to support and encourage our children to engage in and be successful in education.
Creating a homely environment in which our children can feel safe and cared for.
Collaborating and communicating with your colleagues to implement the best possible care practices.
Ensuring that recording and reporting is undertaken to a very high standard.

As a Team Leader , you will have the following:
The desire and passion to safeguard, motivate, and inspire the young people in your care.
Good communication skills to work effectively with colleagues, managers, in addition to working closely alongside other external professionals.
The characteristics and personality to handle challenging behaviour effectively and professionally.
The flexibility to undertake shift work including weekends, evenings & sleep in duties.
