Job Description

** Team Leader Support worker (Supported Living) **
** Northampton and surrounding area**
** Full time Position **
** £10.45/hour **
** Level 3 Health & Care with 1-year exp in the same position**
** £0.45p per mile mileage allowance **
** Must be a driver **
Working patterns varies between the hours of 7:30 am till 10:15pm including weekends and public holidays with scope of additional sessions and sleep in opportunities with rota`s available 4 weeks in advance.
The role will involve some lone working with service users in either their home or in the community, however you will have access to support when on shift through our on-call system.


BS Social Care are currently working in partnership with a well establish care company that
supports individuals across the autism spectrum with a wide range of needs and may also have other medical needs such as epilepsy in their own homes. We are looking for resilience candidates who have a `get up and go` attitude, who are passionate about the work they produce and want to be within this role for the right reasons.

About the job:
The aim of our Team leader support workers is to assist the manager in the effective running of the service and assume delegated responsibilities such as promoting development of staff through training, and regular supervisions. While leading by example with the support provided with person centred planning at its core. Each of our clients are unique and there needs all differ, this may include help with day-to-day tasks, taking medication, personal care, accessing the community, and seeking employment opportunities etc…


About the ideal candidate: ideally you will hold a Level 3 in Health and Social Care / Or 1-year minimum experience as Team Leader within Health & Care.
Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with different people using a variety of methods including other professionals, display enthusiasm and a positive attitude towards the people we support
Ability to demonstrate empathy and be supportive to the individuals we support, display a flexible attitude towards the needs of the service, strong administrative/IT skills in relation to records, ability to work on your own initiative and comfortable with lone working, Problem solving & crisis management. Time management. Ability to Identify and manage risks.


Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business use insurance, involved in a "On call" rota or similar out of hours support.

This role requires motivation and lots of passion to do the job well.

This is a permanent and full-time who offers the following package: 28 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), sleep in allowance, workplace pension scheme, quarterly staff recognition awards, opportunity to complete related qualifications, £10.45 per hour, £0.45p per mile mileage allowance, average 40 hours per week.
