Job Description

Our client is a global FinTech leader in the handling of electronic trade finance documentation. Pioneers of structured documents for corporate trade, today their solutions power more than 6 million trade documents and $80bn worth of trade transactions per annum.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst - Trade Finance to join their expanding team - UK remote based with occasional office if required.

Following a major strategic review which has resulted in an exciting new opening for a permanent Technical Business Analyst located in Greater London.

This techno functional role will be part of the product team and responsible for creating and maintaining the specifications for existing and new messages, product configurations and business rules and third party integration's. Holder of this role would be working closely with Product managers, business analysts, developers and testing team and to support the delivery of products.

For this role, we are looking for a genuine tech oriented Trade finance business analyst with a background in business analysis, testing, product configurations of B2B online solutions and hands on experience working alongside a development team, either within the IT department of a corporate, bank, a software based product company, or bespoke software development house.

Role:

To design, implement and document Company message specifications, business rules, form field mappings according to agreed business logic using 3rd party tools (no major coding but technical skills needed)

To work with Product Managers / Owners to create detailed requirements for implementation by Agile software delivery teams

To interpret client needs, assess the full requirements, and identify solutions or required modifications to existing product design.
To Support the product roadmap and plans, working with development to control the product delivery work capacity.
To support delivery excellence for the products to maximise and optimise contributions over the product life cycle.
Assessment of market requirements functional into backlog items including working Product managers and Owners on feature enhancements
To lead on requirements capture through delivering mainstream operational products.
Support the development of marketing messages that differentiates our products in the market
Work closely with the respective Product Owners and Business Analysts to help evolve and create new products across the entire Company suite
Being part of Agile Development project teams, working on one or more projects in parallel

To demonstrate competence in own area; may still be acquiring higher level skill; typically works with minimal guidance on own area of knowledge.
To provide design assurance / QA at the service level to ensure developments are undertaken in alignment with the requirements / specifications.


Skills and Experience
Previous experience working for a software product SaaS company or software house developing B2B or B2C transactional web-based applications
Knowledge of software development tools:
Knowledge and experience of using/creating:
XML/XPATH/XSLT
Basic knowledge of writing basic database SQL queries
XSDs, DTDs
Experience working with Agile development methodologies such as Kanban/Agile (E) and tools such as Jira and Confluence
Excellent communicator, both written and verbal. Ability to articulate requirements and issues clearly and concisely with both on-shore and off-shore Development Teams
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen effectively and the ability to present oneself in a calm, professional manner whilst under time and schedule pressure
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Team player. Comfortable working in a small company environment and "hands-on" in the sense of doing what needs to be done in a small organisation
Fluent English (E), any other languages a bonus
