Job Description

We have an opportunity working for a well established company on a temporary basis. Are you looking to work with young people within the homeless sector?

BS Social Care is one of the UK`s leading recruitment agencies, we offer competitive rates of pay, annual leave, ongoing training and incentives. We specialise in placing skilled workers into roles within the social care sector.

The role of the project worker is to support young people within a homeless project, these individuals may suffer from drug and alcohol misuse and mental health issues. Your duties will be to maintain the health and safety and maintain the standard of the foyer. You will be dealing with enquiries, safety of the building, completing assessments and being involved in support sessions with the young people. You may time to time have to engage with social workers and other professionals. This role is supporting temporary on waking nights, there may be the occasional day.

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working with young people and ideally within the housing sector. You will be extremely reliable and able to engage with the young people but remain professional. The service can present challenging behaviour at times therefore you need to be capable of lone working within these situations.

You will need a minimum of 1 years paid work experience within the social care sector, or 6 months with a relevant social care qualification. If you have a fully enhanced DBS which is on the update service we would love to hear from you!

We offer competitive rates of pay, incentives, training opportunities and annual leave. We offer a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with these well established companies which can then lead on to permanent opportunities.

If this sounds like the role for you, please apply at www.bssocialcare.co.uk or call Lucie on 01772 400100 to discuss the role further.

Subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS
