Job Description

Workforce Analyst - Band 5

Accountable to the Head of Workforce and Learning Support the post holder is responsible for the production of workforce information in accordance with to inform and support decision making. This will involve analysis, interpretation and reporting of data/workforce information. To be the link with the ESR "Data Warehouse" on the credibility, integrity, and reliability of the workforce information data.

Location, work hours and pay
Based in Chester
Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)
8:30 to 16:30 or 9:00 to 17:00
Hybrid working
Approximate 3-month assignment with immediate start (possible extension)

Please note you will need a DBS for this role and to apply you must hold a in date British passport, 2 proofs of address (Eg: bank statement, utility bill) and one proof of NI. You also cannot have lived outside of the country for longer than 6 months in the last 5 years

Essential experience:
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
- Expert systems knowledge of ESR and delivery of workforce information linked to E-Technology
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of the importance of key performance indicators, measurements, service specifications and successful delivery
- Experience of supervising staff

Duties include but are not limited to:
1. Production and analysis of workforce information, statistical and graphical in accordance with service specifications to inform and support decision making
2. Writing, producing, validating and analysing reports
3. Provide standard reports in line with service specifications and providing ad hoc reports as and when required
4. Participate as a member of the ESR SIG/Streamlining groups as required
5. To support the Trust in the delivery of agreed KPI`s/standards to service specifications the post-holder will be responsible for
6. Ensure that national standards, legislation and guidelines are adhered to. Responsibility for ensuring service improvement in line with process design and the continuous improvement ethos.
7. To support the overall HR Shared Services provision of service to its clients by working across teams where necessary in order to ensure business continuity
8. You will be responsible for training all levels of staff within the organisation on the use of ESR. This will include but, not be restricted to training for new managers on how to use Manager
9. Liaison with Managers and Staff across the Trust to support ESR self-service and administrative staff within the Learning Support team looking at workload and overseeing work

Skills and abilities:
- Ability to work and comply with tight and moving deadlines
- Ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing
- Ability to be precise, accurate, inquisitive, and proactive in the use and enquiry of data
- to inform workforce reporting.
- Respond to unexpected changes, develop contingency plans and adopt a flexible approach
- Highly proficient IT skills, including MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Database and advanced keyboard skills
