Job Description

Our client based in the Tring area is looking for a Clinical Support Administrator to join their team. They are a charity who provide specialist care and support for adults and children with a life-limiting illness.

The purpose of this role is to provide an efficient, comprehensive and collaborative support service to the Hospice at Home, Day Hospice and Clinical Services teams to ensure full clinical administration support coverage within Hospice.

You will be expected to provide office cover across all locations on a flexible basis, provide an efficient support service to all services, provide a secretarial and administrative support to all services ensuring communications with patients, families, staff, volunteers and external organisations are handled effectively. You will also be expected to manage and respond to patient related calls, maintain nursing databases and produce patient notes and statistics, provide finance management of receipts, raise and process purchase orders and orders supplies and petty cash.

You will also be expected to deal sensitively with complaints and compliments in accordance with process and oversee the day to day running of the office in all respects , including reception (where applicable to the office location when covering at other bases) and communications (post, phones, messages).

You will have a history of relevant administration responsibilities within an office environment, including ability to multitask and proven experience of being able to prioritise. You will be confident working with databases and other IT systems. You will also have the ability to build good working relationships, have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written forms and to maintain confidentiality. Lastly, due to the nature of the environment, you will be able to show compassion and empathy and be able to deal with uncomfortable conversations and situations.

In return the company offer a very competitive salary from £21,600 per annum (pro rata for the 6 month contract) They also access to the company pension scheme, free on-site parking and a "Blue Light Card" and offer 25 days plus bank holidays.
This role is a full time role working full time 37.5 hours week Monday to Friday, on a rota basis as follows: early 8:30am-4:30pm, core 9am-5pm, late 9:30am-5:30pm - 30 minute lunch break

You will need to have access to a car as you will be expected to commute to all three sites in Tring, Chalfont St Giles and St Albans.
