Job Description
A well-established large national organization are recruiting for Support Worker for their residential and supported living services in Taunton, Somerset. You will be working with Adults who have autism, anxiety, limited communication, complex needs and may display challenging behaviour
Main Job Role:
- Support clients with everyday duties i.e. cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping etc
- Manage them through their Support Plans (maintain good health and diet)
- Assist them with any activities (gym, bakery, arts & crafts, swimming, riding, bowling, football, cinema, cycling, walks, church, snooker) etc
- Accompany them out & about in the community i.e bank appointments, health visits etc
- Encourage them with future goals they would like to achieve
- Some aspects or full personal care required and some may need manual handling
Qualifying candidates:
- Have life, paid, personal or voluntary experience in care (any setting / sector)
Contract / Terms:
- Salary is £10,246 - £16,984 per annum = £8.71 an hour
- Full or part time available 24 - 37.5 hour contracts available
- Monday to Fridays with alternative weekends
- Sleep-ins will be required either weekly or monthly paid at £50 per sleep
- Shifts can vary between 7am - 10pm (double / half shifts)
- Shared on call duties paid at £12.50 per day from 7:45am till 8am
- Bank holiday is paid double time
