Level 3 Qualified Children & Young People Support Worker

Job Description

A small independent Children Services are recruiting for support work for their 2 bed residential care home in Sway, Hampshire. You will be supporting 5 - 18 year olds who have EBD, abuse, trauma, mental health and may display challenging behaviour.

Main Job Role:
- Supporting children through their morning, mealtime and evening routines
- Acting as a professional parent and role model
- Domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, shopping and collecting medication
- Liaising & report writing for families and professionals (e.g. Social Workers)
- Support with free time and encouragement with activities when children come home from school, weekends and half term. Taking children on trips and holidays
- No personal care

Qualifying candidates:
- Must be a car driver with your own car
- Must have a Diploma / NVQ / QCF level 3 or above in:
* Children & Young People`s Workforce
* Health & Social Care in Children
* Health & Social Care in Social Care Pathway
* Caring for children & young people
* Residential childcare

Contract / Terms:
- Salary is £24,000 which includes sleep ins
- 24 hour shift pattern is 9:30am - 11pm SLEEP 7am - 10am
- Full time 40 hours a week, 9 / 10 shifts a month
- Mondays to Friday plus alternative weekends
