Job Description

A large well-established organisation is recruiting for Support Workers for their supportive Living services in Newent in Gloucester. You will be working with adults, who have learning disabilities, mental health (complex needs) issues; no challenging behaviour.

Main Job Role:
- Support clients with everyday duties i.e. cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping etc
- Manage them through their Support Plans (maintain good health and diet)
- Assist them with any activities or day centres they attend to
- Accompany them to the bank, to appointments, on health visits and in the community
- Encourage them with future goals they would like to achieve
- No personal care
- Lone working (1-2-1 support)

Qualifying candidates:
- Have life, paid, personal or voluntary experience in care (any setting / sector)
- Due to service user needs, males preferred

Contract / Terms:
- Salary including sleeps is £18,117.84 per annum = £8.59 an hour
- Must do 2/3 sleep-ins per week paid at £70.47 per sleep = £7,328 - £10,939 extra per annum
- Full time contract 37 hours a week - Monday to Fridays with alternative weekends
- 24 hour shift patterns (3pm - 3pm)
- Shift pattern will be 3pm - 10:30pm (sleep) then 7:30am - 3pm finish
- Must be male candidates only due to the service user needs
