This Operations Manager role is working for a leading Health and Social Care provider that have over 300 locations, supporting people with a wide range of complex needs across Mental Health, Substance Misuse, Learning Disabilities and Public Health.

Working within an Independent Hospital in a community setting caring for and treating women with a diagnosis of Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder and is one of four such specialist units in the country. They have a robust MDT in place consisting of a Consultant Psychiatrist, Clinical Psychologist, Assistant Psychologist, OT, Nurses and Support Workers.

Leading this 'stand alone' Service is a challenging role, but for the right candidate it will be a very rewarding one.

The main responsibilities will be to manage a multi-disciplinary team, manage a large budget, ensuring financial targets are met and a cost effective structure is present in the Service. You will provide meaningful reports for the Senior Management team and communicate authentically with the wider central support structures. Ensuring good governance structures are embedded throughout all of the Clinical and non-Clinical structures and systems at the service, you will strive for improved outcomes for the Women and continuous improvement for this Service.
Understanding the Contract with NHS England, demonstrating compliance with all aspects of contract management, ensuring good communication at all times with the Commissioning team is essential. You will be responsible for overseeing all recruitment and managing an innovative and cost effective Rota, along with all current contracts held at a local level in the Service.
You will receive regular supervision and support from the Senior Nurse Lead, and liaise and lead on all inspections and up-dates required by the CQC.

Ideal candidate
This role is about the right person that can demonstrate a passion for improving outcomes for this SU group, someone with the right values is also extremely important, and values that match those of the organisation.

- Either Clinical or non-Clinical, having experience and a proven track record of strong leadership along with the right management skills is necessary
- a proven track record and experience of working and managing teams/services in a health care setting and experience with this SU group (if a clinical candidate)
- having a good experience of budgetary and performance management, including a variety of Contractual requirements
- experience of embedding good Governance structures in all areas of the Service, including overseeing Clinical Governance systems
- someone who can understand a business model including a Clinical model
- someone who is empathetic and understanding of the model of care, and the diagnosis and complexity of this SU group
- you need to have good IT skills and preferably be a driver
- the ability to communicate with a variety of people from differing backgrounds in different settings is necessary
- you need to possess an innovative and positive attitude, be perceptive and creative with staff recourses and be able to develop good stakeholder relationships
- a person who understands the need to demonstrate and measure Outcomes
- sound knowledge and understanding of CQC standards, and expectations in Service delivery
- understanding a variety of roles including Registered Managers, Doctors, Psychologists and Nurses is essential
- a degree level qualification and management/leadership experience is essential
