Job Description

****Homelessness Support Worker****

***Nights support ***

****4 nights on 4 nights off****

****PLYMOUTH****

***£ 12.31 ph.****

Brook Street Social Care is offering a new, exciting and rewarding role within Supported Housing accommodation.

You will be supporting and overviewing residents who have been homeless or at risk of becoming homelessness. They may have complex and additional needs. You will be helping each of the residents to progress towards independence and independent living.

Shift patterns:

Mon - Fri 8.00pm to 7.00am

Sat - Sun 7.00pm to 7.00am

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Prioritise and encourage client's individual needs and aspirations through support sessions
  • Liaise and signpost to other support services as appropriate
  • Have in-depth understanding of trauma, therapeutic approaches and be able to deliver appropriate intervention, guidance, and information.
  • To carry our Risk Assessments, accurate recording, and further documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Support with day-to-day needs, independent living skills including cooking, budgeting, education, training, employment, any health appointments, and any bespoke needs.
  • Operation of the Security Controls including monitoring CCTV, alarms and access control systems.
  • Escalate all Emergency repairs and maintenance calls.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Ideally 2 years' experience within Complex Needs Support, Housing, Homelessness or related.
  • You are PROACTIVE, PASSIONATE and DRIVEN
  • Motivated and passionate to advocate for individuals with mental health issues, addictions, learning difficulties and offending behaviour.

MUST:
