An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Practice Educator to take the lead role on developing relationships with Higher Education Institutes to secure the desired number of social work students across the North of England.
As the Practice Educator you will take a lead role in developing relationships with Higher Education Institutes to secure the desired number of social work students across the North of England. This role is responsible for overseeing student induction, line management, work allocation and ongoing professional development. Your duties will include arranging and undertaking pre-placement meetings with prospective social work students to establish if the placement is a good fit for both the student and our organisation. Ensure Practice Learning Agreement meetings takes place with all social work students and their tutors within the first 2 weeks of their placement and provide regular observation of practice, feedback and coaching.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years post qualifying experience practising as a Social Worker, Proven knowledge of theories relating to development, supervision and training and the management of change and their application, Detailed knowledge of relevant legislation and practice guidance in particular the statutory responsibilities of social workers
In return for your hard work and dedication you will receive a salary of up to £36,000 dependant on experience, opportunities for progression and further development.
