We are working in partnership with a client based in Hereford who are recruiting for a Registered Manager for their 14 bed leaving care project, that supports the transition into independent living.
This is a full time role working 40 hours a week with on call duties on a rota basis. Three days will be based at the project and two days will be based at the office in Abergavenny.
You will lead and support and help to develop a team of staff providing support to vulnerable young people who may display challenging behaviour.
You will ensure that the environment is appropriate and sensitive to the needs of the young people being looked after, and also that the key stages in the stay of the young people such as admissions and discharge are properly managed, and reflect decisions recorded in care plans. Ensure that young people facing particular crisis and stresses are offered appropriate additional support.
You will provide leadership, and be responsible for the deployment and control of staff on a day to day basis. Monitoring performance, including sickness absence, and identifying any training and mentoring that may be needed.
The candidate that we are looking for will have;
- NVQ Level 5 Health and Social Care - or equivalent
- 2 years experience in a supervisory/management role
- Project management skills and time management skills
- Experience of working within a regulated service (CQC/CIW/Ofsted)
