Registered Nurse - Dialectical behaviour therapist
Base in Yorkshire
Band 7
Brand new role- Exciting opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join an established national provider of supported living and residential care, supporting adults with learning disabilities, personality disorder, Mental Health and challenging behaviours. This is a brand-new role so this really is something you can put your experience and knowledge into, in order to put your stamp in different services. This role would be ideal for a mental health nurse or a learning disability nurse with extra training and understanding of delivering Dialectical behaviour therapy.

You will be an established and key member of the clinical team, reporting to the clinical director while based in Morley. Together you will develop strategies and support methods in a person-centred way, in order to support all individuals to a high standard. This also is the start to an opportunity to being part of the multi-disciplinary team.

Travel is essential, so you will need a full driving license as you will be required to attend multiple settings across Yorkshire in order to offer your support to those who need you to guide them actively and encourage independence.

Some of the exciting tasks of this role are:
¢ delivering individual therapy and co facilitating the DBT group
¢ attending the fortnightly DBT Consultation Group
¢ helping the service users to generalise their DBT skills within the homes and the wider community

We are looking for someone who is experienced in supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health Needs, and Behaviours, with an enthusiastic and pro-active way of thinking. We would like someone who is willing to go above and beyond with their flexible approach, in order to portray an outstanding level of service.

As well as the above we also require a person with :
¢ Registered Nurse- preferably Mental Health or Learning disability in specific needs
¢ History and experience of supporting individuals with Mental Health needs, Learning disabilities and delivering Dialectical Support
¢ A full UK driving license
¢ Flexibility to travel
