Job Description

** Nursery Room Supervisor **
** Greens Norton, Towcester, Northamptonshire **
** £19,890 - salary could increase depending on experience and qualifications **
** 42.5hrs per week/ Monday to Friday - shifts between 8am - 6pm **
** 28 days including bank holidays (plus 1 extra day for every year of service), uniform, 50% discount with the nursery, bonus schemes (employee of the month and year), free parking, training and qualifications, nursery lunch, pension, statutory sick pay, freedom of running own room and located within a beautiful village **

BS Social Care are looking for an experienced Nursery Room Leader to work within a Nursery setting with children between the ages of new-born - 5 years. This role is within the Greens Norton, Towcester area.

About the employer; this Nursery management consists two owners, a Manager and a Deputy Manager. They are a long-standing nursery with is consistently developing and improving within the setting. Their staff are long-standing, and they invest a lot of time, training and support into each and every employee.

About the job; To provide safe, high quality education and care of all children following the routines of the room and the individual child using the current framework (EYFS) used in the setting. You will be responsible for a room and ensuring the smooth running of it and that is it set up and used in an appropriate way for the age of the children with at least 2 members of staff working under your supervision. You will be able to delegate reasonable jobs to practitioners within the room when possible while implementing and maintaining setting policies and procedures and adhere to these at all times. You will have your own key group, be responsible for implementing the currents EYFS and complete the key groups profiles including observations and ensuring the practitioners in the room are completing their keyworkers profiles. As a Room Leader you will complete daily and long term risk assessments and the necessary documentation for children's profiles such as the Progress Check / Initial Assessments and Summary. You will be responsible for administering first aid when needed and be involved in food preparation or cooking activities. When joining the setting you will follow the induction process. You will not be expected to carry out any tasks until these have been explained to you or you have had the relevant training. You will not be left on you own with the children until the setting is confident in your abilities.

The ideal candidate; you will be enthusiastic, open and honest, hardworking and with a good sense of humour. Hold an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or similar with experience within a Nursery and ideally leading a room with good knowledge of the role and with working with children. For this role you will need to be a driver as bus routes are not reliable enough. You will also ideally have a DBS on the update service to ensure your start date is not delayed.

In return, this organisation will offer you a full time and permanent role paying £19,890 however the salary could increase depending on experience and qualifications. You will work 42.5hrs per week/ Monday to Friday - shifts between 8am - 6pm.
