Job Description

Role: Service Manager (16-18 year olds)
Salary: £40,000 + £3000 car allowance. Raising to £50,000 for full occupancy
Location: Bristol

We are looking for a experienced Manager to take over the running of an unique home working within our Young people services. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to guide and shape our new and growing services for Young People from difficult backgrounds.


About the job:

  • You'll be taking a lead on improvement and development and through the line management of Team Leaders,
  • You'll be ensuring that our services meaningfully listen to and involve children, young people and families,
  • You'll be supporting and developing a culture of learning and transparency
  • You'll oversee all aspects of service delivery ensuring financial, quality, health and safety, regulatory targets and performance measures are achieved


About You

  • Management Experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant Children's Home legislation and local & national child protection procedures and protocols.
  • Good overall standard of education.
  • Working towards or hold Level 5 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
  • Up to date knowledge of Child Care legislation, children's home regulations and quality standards.
  • Previous experience of working directly with young people with challenging behaviour.
  • Good report writing and numeracy skills. Well organised with good administration skills. IT literate.
  • Able to relate to young people with empathy and committed to a high standard of child care and to achieve the best outcomes for young people in their care.
  • Strong motivational, management and leadership potential. Able to supervise, support and develop Support Workers to create a cohesive team.
