Job Description

Support Workers! Are you caring and inspirational and looking for anew challenge?

We are seeking support workers for a charity that offers a range of autism-specific services for adults in the Leeds area. Our client provide support for people either in the community, in their own homes and in one of their own facilities.

This client at its base across the city provide and develop a range of services for adults with autism and related conditions which are specialised, innovative, of high quality and well resourced and continually seek to improve models of good practice which are internationally recognised. They aim to support service users to experience life opportunities to encompass the above and promote the growth of individuals of their maximum potential.

Full time role - 37.5 hours. This will mostly be a Monday to Friday working hours 9am-4.30pm role may will include some occasional evening work and saturday work as well.

To work within the day and outreach settings, meeting the needs of service users by supporting them in development of essential skills in order to stimulate confidence, independence and enhance their quality of life to ensure the highest standard of support is provided to assist service users in overcoming their disabling effects of autism and other disabilities.

We are looking for candidates with a positive, encouraging nature, good communication and effective organisation skills who will be flexible to respond to the changing needs of those they support and promote their rights.

Preferably you will have a NVQ in health and social care, personal qualities, previous experience with autism or learning disabilities and good knowledge of the sector.

Driving is desirable.
